This is a prequel. I read the first two books before I read this one. I absolutely loved it! I enjoyed learning more about Wren Davies and Neoma and seeing how it all began. Seeing the children as tweens was great. It just made me love the characters even more. These characters are so rich and well developed. I always enjoy the different point of views which help you get an even better picture or perspective of the characters. I really loved This in this book as well as Wren and Neoma. I loved finding out her origin. It was also great to see how Isa became who she is in the present books. I read some reviews complaining about editing. Yes, I did notice some errors. In no way do I feel that justifies giving this book a lower rating. I feel the story and insight on these characters can supersede some teeny errors. McAtee is amazing. I look forward to reading more of her work and will continue to buy Kindle and hard copies of her work. She's that good! Eagerly awaiting book three... and four.Product details

Loved it! This was a perfect prequel to the Dead Things series.
We got to go back in time to see how Wren , Isa , and their crazy pack of misfits came to be. It was especially interesting to find out Neoma's history.
I very much look forward to the next book in the Dead Things series but I also hope we get more chances to go back in time again. I would love to see more adventures of the baby pack before present day.
In my opinion Loving You with Teeth and Claws is definitely recommended.
This is a book that gives us a little backstory to some of our characters in book one. I do recommend reading this one first so you have that info but it isn’t necessary. It’s also a great length and not short at all. It does alternate between characters but it does it in a way where you get more of a bigger picture than you would reading from just one characters POV.
I loved being able to see how everything began. Neomas story was terrible and it made me truly hurt for her. She never deserved anything that happened to her. Yet of it wasn't for the things that happened then they never would of all ended up together! Wren is a wonderful character who lived a rough life before everything and everyone was brought into his life. Its sad to see everything that had to happen to bring it all together. Im truly glad how ever to be able to read about the characters I love and see how it all started!
Beautifully written, you get inside information and background on most of the characters you already know and love.

So freaking good!! I loved reading Is a and Wren's back story. Oh, and Rhys, my heart just shattered into a million pieces for him. I remember what it was like to be the odd ball, the freak (that's Queen of the Freaks, thank you very much). I just wanted to hug him close and tell him everything would be alright. The story is phenomenal. I love these characters so much. I love that McAtee has each character to tell a portion of the story. It can get confusing when you have multiple narrators but McAtee does it seamlessly. There is no break in the flow of the story. The writing is spectacular. I, for one, can't wait to find out what happens next.
I swear everything Martina writes is gold. I read Loving You With Teeth and Claws after reading Books 1 and 2 in the Dead Things Series. It read just as well as the other books, and let some more minor characters in the rest of the series have the spotlight. I relate SO SO much with Isa, and I gained a whole new appreciation for Wren and Neoma with this book.
Martina's work always has one MAJOR quality
She makes you feel for the characters. She makes the characters real, raw, and snarky--just the way I like them. She keeps things realistic while still intriguing in a supernatural setting. Her character development is out of this world.
Martina, I hope you never stop writing.
Absolutely couldn't get enough of this prequel! I was a little hesitant going into it because to be honest, I thought the book was mostly focused on Isa and Wren and they weren't my favorites from Books 1 and 2. Not saying I didn't like them, but I am a huge Rhys, Kai, and Ember fan. I am so happy I was wrong! I have a much different perspective of Isa and Wren after reading this book. I can't express how much I loved reading about how they met and their whirlwind romance. I also loved learning more about the Belladonna pack, Oggie, and about the mysterious, ethereal Neoma!! So many things make more sense now, I am so glad Martina focused on this book before Book 3. I am going to go reread Books 1 and 2 because I bet its going to be even better this time around )
I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to find a favorite author, a new favorite couple, or who just wants to read about kickass characters who go up against some powerful supernatural creatures/beings. Without giving anything away for those who haven't read Books 1 and 2 yet, my favorite moments in Books 1 and 2 are THAT much more special now that I have seen where the characters came from/what lead to those moments.
